Week 9: Bible in a Summer - Prophecy

During our Bible in One Summer Series, we are exploring the way the Bible is organized and why.

IMPACT CARD

Discussion Questions:

  1. Revelation 2 warns the church in Ephesus about losing their first love. Where in your life do you feel like you’ve traded genuine love for God and people for just “going through the motions”? What would it look like to return to your first love?

  2. Pergamum was rebuked for being aware of God but indifferent to sin. What’s one area in your life where you’ve grown comfortable with something God calls harmful? What step could you take this week to repent and pursue holiness?

  3. Laodicea was warned about being lukewarm. In what ways do you find yourself “lukewarm” in your faith (going through the motions, half-hearted, passionless)? What would it look like for you to become spiritually refreshing or helpful to others again?

  4. Revelation ends with the picture of Jesus making all things new. What part of your “kingdom” (pride, sin, self-reliance, control) do you sense God asking you to lay down so you can fully live under His kingdom?
