Week 7: Bible in a Summer - Paul's Letters

During our Bible in One Summer Series, we are exploring the way the Bible is organized and why.

IMPACT CARD

Reading: Phillipians 3:4-14

Discussion Questions:

  1. Paul talks about letting go of his impressive accomplishments because knowing Christ is worth more. What kinds of things (career, reputation, family, even religious activity) do people in our culture tend to “put confidence in”? Why is knowing Christ a better option?

  2. Paul says he wants to know Christ in both the power of His resurrection and in His sufferings. When have you experienced Jesus in a season of victory or joy? What about in times of struggle or loss?

  3. Paul describes straining forward and pressing on toward the prize. What does that look like in your stage of life right now? How can we encourage and pray for one another to keep moving forward in faith instead of getting stuck in the past?
