Have you ever read the laws of the Old Testament and thought, “What is this about?” Sometimes, the Old Testament will say one thing while the New Testament says something different. Luckily for us, Jesus came and straightened it all out for us. So why do we still get it confused?
The Old Covenant was a covenant given by God to a specific group of people for a specific time. When Jesus came, he finalized the Old Covenant, completing it's purpose, and brought us the New Covenant, which we now live by.
But many of us still find ourselves mixing the Old with the New. How have you seen yourself mixing the two covenants?
We do not live by the Old Covenant. Our Covenant is better and harder to live by.
