Some of us put our hope in something that doesn’t sustain us. Because of that, we are having trouble coping. When we can’t cope with our current circumstances, we can rely on the hope found in Jesus. The story of Simeon and Anna demonstrates that there is always hope.
Monday: Read Luke 2:25-38. How does the story of Simeon and Ana show us real hope?
Tuesday: What have you hoped for that eventually came true? How long did you hope for it? How hard was it to wait for it?
Wednesday: The proof of hope is patience, but being patient can be very hard. Take some time to pray for patience today.
Thursday: What are you hoping for in life? Write down your biggest hopes. Are these your wishes or God's promises in your life?
Friday: When do you find yourself being the most impatient? Those are times that God is trying to grow your patience. Determine what areas it is hard to be patient and find ways to remind yourself that God is growing you in those times.
