Luke 1

All I Want For Christmas Is...Joy

Christmas time can seem like a time where everyone is happy. But sometimes in the midst of all the Christmas lights and music, we don’t feel happy. But does God want us to be happy, or does He want us to be something better?

Impact Card

Monday: Read Luke 1-2. How does the Christmas story show the need for joy?

Tuesday:
What are the differences between happiness and joy? Do you live a life pursuing happiness or joy?

Wednesday: Joy is only found in God. Take some time to pray for joy, even when your circumstances are difficult.

Thursday: Joy is contagious. Be intentional about having joy today, whether at work, home, or school. At the end of the day, write down how hard it was and how it felt.

Friday: What robs you of your joy? Anxiety? Resentment? Boredom? Confusion? What can you do to prevent these things from robbing your joy from you?

All I Want For Christmas Is... Another Chance

Many of us have regrets and mistakes in life. When we have regrets, we normally stop expecting, believing, or trusting that anything good can come. None of us can have a do-over, but we all can have another chance.

Impact Card

Monday: Read Luke 1. Why did Zechariah react to the Gabriel's news the way he did? How would you react?

Tuesday: It is easy for us to stop expecting, believing, or trusting when life feels like it is falling apart. What ways have you found yourself behaving this way during difficult times?

Wednesday: Too many of us push God away, then question where God is when we need Him. Take some time to pray to God and ask Him to give you the strength to not push Him away.

Thursday: Too many of us never stop talking to hear from God. Today, take at least 10 minutes and just be silent. Ask God to speak to you.

Friday: Since God always gives you another chance, we should give others another chance. Who in your life needs another chance? How can you give it to them?
